The devastating Category 3 Hurricane Ian made landfall in Western Cuba on September 27 impacting the provinces of Pinar del Rio, Artemisa, Mayabeque and Havana.
There are reports of widespread damage to homes, farms, critical infrastructure like hospitals and churches, electrical supplies and communication systems.
With the storm surge still lashing the area it remains difficult to assess the full damage. In the next few days, we will likely get more accurate numbers on damaged homes and other structures and we’ll do our best to keep this page updated with any new information we receive.
